A Tribute to Turbo
If anyone has ever loved their pet, then you know what I am going through. My cat, Turbo, finally said good-bye to my step-dad, Charlie, yesterday in his apartment. He lived a good life. He truely had nine lives. From the time when he was a kitten he was attacked by the neighborhood german shepherd to passing stones in his bladder, from moving to Texas from California, and dealing with a puppy named Ellie Mae, a mini doberman pincher. This cat has seen it all.
He was named Turbo for his "cat-like" reflexes in his younger years. He would chase the squirrels up the tree; sneak into mocking bird nests and carry the chicks into our house; when you called is name, he would come quick as lightening froom across the field. He was known for jolting through the hallways for no apparent reason, yet we continued to give him... cat nip. He loved to chase mice and squirrels in his younger years, and as he grew older, loved to chase my dad's(Charlie) feet.
Turbo and I had a special bond. I would sleep with my door cracked and he would come in, kick Ellie Mae out and cuddle in between my feet. He was the first thing I would come home to and pet when I got home from school. I would fold his ears back and blow in them (that was kinda mean) and play with his wiskers and make him do weird twitchy things.
I was pretty much the only one that could or would cut off his fur balls from his neck to his butt. When he got older, he wasn't able to tend to himself so he got some bad furballs in his hind areas. Since I have lived in Duluth, every time I would talk to my dad he would always say "Turbo says 'hi' and 'I love you'". I couldn't wait to get back to Texas to see him. I guess I can say I understand what constant means. When we moved from CA to TX, from an apt to our house of 10 years; from my mom divorcing my step-dad (Charlie); Turbo living with Charlie while I lived in Duluth, he was there for all of it and just chilled. He knew that people cared for him and he just went with the flow. He will be missed. I grew attached to him and am sad that I won't be able to see him this Christmas.
So if you never have been attached to an animal, that's fine. If you don't even like animals that's fine. I just wanted everyone to know that I had the best cat ever and he was with me all but 4 years of my life and that's pretty amazing. So I will miss him. "Good-bye My Love"

Leah, I think you should get this game:
Nintendogs.
You can go try it out at Target. I did, and even though I don't really like dogs that much, or stupid video games (I hate bad video games like I hate bad movies, or bad anything), this game I have to admit, was fun. I only played it for like 5 minutes, but I liked it. You can do tons of stuff with your pet, like play frisbee. A lot of people are getting rediculously attached to this game already.
